I can't say where the journey started, but I can point out a few of the landmarks along the way. Several years ago I took a whittling class. From my small block of wood, the form of a mother and child emerged. I considered this little carving my "fertility goddess," and it wasn't long before I was pregnant. I loved the sensation of having a little being growing inside. I wore a special piece of jewelry during the last days of pregnancy and during my labor and delivery. That special gift from my husband is a sweet memento of my maternal journey.

These experiences inspired me to design Maternal Journey jewelry as an expression of the feelings and forms of becoming a mother. I hope you find a piece in this collection that speaks to your heart.
